Sound and Space – Rhythms of ... – The exhibition presents the results of a collaboration between AMD Düsseldorf (Interior Design), the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf (Master Class in Composition), and the Technical University of Lübeck.

In the winter semester 2025/26, space was not understood as a functional container, nor sound as an illustrative addition, but as a dialogical relation: rhythm as an ordering structure of perception, material, movement, and atmosphere.
The starting point was a series of precisely defined musical moments, jointly analysed by Interior Design and Composition and translated into spatial and sonic form. The outcomes are not “spaces with music”, but atmospheres in which sound and space mutually transform one another.
The exhibition shows a selected excerpt of this process.
