Setup and organisation

Together with the students, I planned, prepared and ran the symposium held on 17 June 2026. Our tasks ranged from setting up the exhibition and organising the technical equipment and programme to welcoming guests.

My special thanks go to Tim Dreckstraeter, Soumaya Hmissi, Sara Mohammed, Valeria Kunz, Alex-San Dursun, Alina Gudaqi, Antonia Lackner, Katharina Petsch and Liliana Schmidt. Their dedication and initiative made the day possible. It was a pleasure to organise the symposium together.

Breaks on a hot summer day

On this very hot summer day, providing enough drinks for everyone was especially important. Drinks for the day were made possible entirely by sponsors and supporters. My heartfelt thanks go to:

KomKuK – the City of Düsseldorf’s centre for the cultural and creative industries
Gira
Architektenkammer Nordrhein-Westfalen (Chamber of Architects of North Rhine-Westphalia)
Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf (City of Düsseldorf)
InMotion Fitness
Schoppengerd Druckerei
TKW GmbH
BMP

Parents and grandparents also contributed to the refreshments by baking cakes. The breaks offered time for a slice of cake, a cool drink and conversation.

Coming together in the rain

A rain shower began during Mr List’s presentation, and the exhibition had to be dismantled quickly. Students and guests joined forces to move the works out of the rain.

The students brought something. We’re all set for the breaks!
